Welcome to The 2014 Chester International Film Festival, our 28th!

We are delighted to present this diverse collection of some of the finer films of world cinema in a relaxing and appreciative atmosphere.  This year, we are presenting films from 15 countries!

Our venue, St Mary’s Centre, is Chester’s magical hidden gem. Before the films, come and marvel at the beautiful architecture of this former parish church.

Doors open at 7.00pm each night, and refreshments are available.  Films start at 7.45pm.

This year, we are delighted to promote talented UK and worldwide animators following a call for submissions to the festival. Animators were invited to submit films to this event, and we have been delighted with the hundreds of entries we have had, from all over the world. After a lengthy (and agonising!) selection, we have narrowed down to just 12 films.  Two will be shown each night before the main feature, and the highest rated will be presented before our final film on Saturday 15th March. More details here.
